Jazz Up features the classic trio of piano, bass and drums delivering jazz with a timeless vibe. Top-notch musicianship is showcased in ten extensive construction kits covering a variety of styles including Breakbeat, Fusion, Acid Jazz and Funk. This library provides you with all the performance details you need to inspire your next project. Jazz Up definitely turns the class up.
With 5.7 GB of sample data spread across nearly 1000 loops, each of the ten construction kits has between four and seven parts. All kits include both A and B parts plus an outro section. Additional parts provide solo sections and further variations on parts A or B. With loops up to 42 seconds in length, there is an enormous amount of performance variation within each kit. Simply chop the loops into shorter segments to create classic Hip Hop cuts. Original recording tempos go from 90 to 172 BPM, but you have plenty of flexibility to adjust this with the Elastik player.
Eike Wulfmeier's keyboard skills, previously featured on the Jazz Works series, are on full display here. Three different versions of the keyboard loops are provided. There is a fully produced/processed version played on either acoustic or electric piano as well as dry versions provided on both acoustic and electric piano.
Jürgen Attig's virtuoso bass playing utilizes both fretted and fretless options, with his playing on a vintage 1962 fretless Fender Jazz Bass very much in the style of Jaco Pastorius, one of his inspirations. Other bass models used include a 1966 Precision Bass and a 1978 Music Man Stingray. Both DI and Amp versions of all the bass loops are included.
Matthias Meusel's drumming provides the sophisticated grooves that underpin all the construction kits. The drum performances are available as dry and processed stereo loops. Individual loops for kick (mic in and out), snare (mic top and bottom), hihat, cymbals, overheads and room are also included.
With all of these options across the three instruments, you have maximum choice. Instantly blend together the mix-ready processed sounds or, when required, create a custom mix with your own choice of processing using the dry/DI versions. Jazz Up is a perfect starting point for creating that classic – and classy – piano, bass and drums jazz trio sound. It is also an ideal addition to the Jazz Works Series for those looking to expand their options in this genre. If you need some jazz-fueled inspiration for your next film, TV or game project, or a musical bed to add your own spin to it, then level up with Jazz Up.
